Can I still get a Spanish Golden Visa by buying property?
No — Spain ended its 'Golden Visa' (residency through a €500,000 property investment) on 3 April 2025, so buying property no longer grants Spanish or EU residency.
This is a common but now-outdated belief. The property-investment residency route was abolished; other visa routes (such as the non-lucrative visa or the digital-nomad visa) still exist, but property purchase alone no longer qualifies you for residency.
You can still freely buy property as a non-resident — it simply has no immigration effect.
